ONCE AGAIN AS OUR SUMMER nears an end, Thanks to all who helped with devotions for the BRIDGE. Many have shared how they have been encouraged by certain devotionals. As we look forward now to the Fall, let’s pray for our students going off to college, our students going back to school here, and our teachers—may they make a difference in the lives of the next generation.
WE PRAISE THE LORD for the safe arrival home of the Japan Mission Team. Thanks to the many generous gifts, the Teams financial needs were overwhelmingly met. The Team gave a brief report on Wednesday and will give a further report on Sunday, September 7. Continue to pray for the Christians living in Japan and that they may be able to continue to spread the love of Jesus to this Nation.

WE HAVE RECEIVED CORRESPONDENCE from the California Classis asking for prayer and support in light of the California Supreme Court decision to legalize same sex marriage. Enclosed in your "Grace To You" is the letter from the California Classis and the response from our Consistory.

MISC ANNOUNCEMENTS
LANSING CHRISTIAN SCHOOL:
WILL HOST an "Open House-Family Night" on Monday, August 25, 7:00 PM-8:30 PM. The Parents’ Club will be serving ice cream; children are welcome to come with their parents to view their classrooms and meet their teachers.
CLASSES will begin on Wednesday, August 27. This will be a half-day beginning at 9:00 AM and dismissing at 12:00 PM. The entire student body will observe opening exercises beginning at 9:30 AM in the school gym. Parents and friends are welcome to join us there to ask God’s blessings and guidance throughout the coming year.
ANNUAL STEAK FRY will be Saturday, September 6, 4:30 PM-7:00 PM in the gym. Your steak dinner will come complete with corn-on-the-cob, baked potatoes, salad and dessert. There will be a freewill offering to benefit the Sustaining Membership Plan (SMP). Everyone is invited!
